Gir National Park in Gujarat is 65 kilometres distant from Junagadh. This unique wildlife sanctuary is stretched over an area of 1412 square kilometres. In the period between mid-June and mid-October, the park stays closed because the possibilities of rain are greater due to the arrival of the Southwest monsoon. In between the period of mid-October and mid-June, the park stays open. The perfect time to visit is the month of December to the month of March and you will not face rain this time.
