In India, the Blackbuck National Park is the only tropical grassland with an impressive habitat. The park is covered with dense meadows, 39 grass species, shrubs, sedges and tress. The trees that are found here include Umro, Charal, Karanj, Sirus, Banyan, etc.

From the distinct Blackbirds to migratory birds, this park is a paradise indeed. You can see birds like Flamingos, Painted Storks, Quails, Spotted Eagles, Red-necked Falcon, Indian Bushlark, and Short-toed Eagle. Imperilled Vulture species also fly to this park. Since, the park has flat grasslands, visitors can witness several mammals from a close distance including wild boar, jungle cat, Nilgai, striped hyena, gerbil, etc. It is also a home for reptiles such as common cobra, krait, saw scaled vipers, rat snake and sand boa.
